Responsible for managing and developing simulation projects for Amazon Robotics. Created several models for sort centers, fulfillment centers, integrated warehouse, and robotic workcells. Successfully owned and developed the concept simulation team. When I joined, 5 engineers were available, and attrition was a big concern. I actively participated in the interview process, recruiting and growing the team to 15 direct reports. No one left the team since I have joined (regrettable attrition).

Optimized the most critical and complex simulation model the team has ever built, running 5 times faster now.

Scaled the usage of an internal simulation framework to 16 external engineers (the goal was to reach 4 developers).

I heavily invest on knowledge transfer and people development. I proposed and delivered a central repository to train and onboard new hires, and promoted 2 engineers in 12 months.

Implemented different mechanisms (Gantt charts, shared docs, team health check) to track and deliver multiple simultaneous projects, while keeping the team’s morale always up.

I have been providing meaningful code reviews to develop my team and improve Amazon’s codebase.
